Toronto, Canada – [August 25 2026] – Godspeed Brewery is proud to announce that it has become a Trooper Beer brewing partner and has worked with fellow Trooper brewer, Elektrárna (part of Pilsner Urquell and the Asahi Group) of Czech Republic to produce “Trooper Saturn”, the highly successful and award winning Czech lager that was created and launched by Elektrárna in 2025.
Crafted with the same distinctive Saturn hops, sourced and especially imported to Canada for the collaboration from the renowned Saaz growing region of Czech Republic, Trooper Saturn is an aromatic Czech-style lager featuring a crisp, refreshing profile accented by delicate floral character and exceptional drinkability.
Godspeed has enjoyed a long-standing collaboration with Elektrárna and was the natural choice as a Canadian partner for Trooper which brings together a shared passion for brewing excellence, international friendship, and a love of great beer.
Luc “Bim” Lafontaine, founder and brewmaster of Godspeed Brewery, said: “Our friendship and collaborative work with Elektrárna created an opportunity to connect with the Maiden Brews/Trooper team at Iron Maiden to bring this special project to Canada. We’re incredibly proud both to have produced Canada’s first locally brewed Trooper beer, and for it to be the first cross-border Trooper collaboration amongst Trooper’s international brewing partners.”
For Lafontaine, the project also carries a deep personal significance:
“My first album cassette purchase was Iron Maiden’s Powerslave in 1985,” he recalls. “The first song I ever heard was Aces High and I was immediately hooked! From the earliest days of Godspeed, Powerslave was a regular soundtrack during early morning brewing and packaging shifts. To now be part of a Trooper collaboration is truly special!”

Release Weekend Celebration
To mark the Canadian launch of Trooper Saturn, Godspeed Brewery will host a special 3 day release celebration from August 28-30, 2026 at its brewery and tap-room located at 242 Coxwell Avenue, Toronto, Ontario.
Guests will be among the first in Canada to enjoy this limited-edition collaboration, available both to-go in its original 355 ml package format and on draft through traditional Czech-made LUKR faucets, delivering an authentic lager experience.
As fans gather in Toronto for Iron Maiden’s Run for Your Lives World Tour shows, Trooper Saturn will also be available at select Godspeed accounts and at Eddie’s Dive Bar Toronto, one of Iron Maiden’s official fan destinations, further connecting this Canadian-exclusive release to the global Trooper beer family.
