Plzeňský Prazdroj, which includes Elektrárna and other brands – all under the banner of Asahi, one of the world’s most respected brewing companies – has been at the forefront of Czech beer production for 183 years. The power plant is an experimental brewery that focuses on innovations in the field of craft beer within the Czech part of the Asahi Group.

The brewery itself is located in the building of a former power plant at the confluence of the Mže and Radbuza rivers. Since 2020, it has been enriching the Czech beer market with bottom and top-fermented specials across beer styles.
